Hello, adventurers!
Today marks a significant milestone in the evolution of our beloved high fantasy game. After a spirited day of design and development, I'm thrilled to share a glimpse into the near-final version of our new user interface. It's been a journey of creativity and dedication, and while the path has been dotted with challenges, the destination is proving to be as enchanting as the worlds we craft within our game.
The Quest for Modernity and Style
In our last blog post, we showcased the ornate prototype images that set the bar for what we hoped to achieve. While today's progress didn't allow us to implement all the intricate details from those initial visions, the end result has led us somewhere unexpected—and, dare I say, even more compelling. The new design strikes a harmonious balance between the classic allure of high fantasy and the sleek appeal of modern aesthetics.
Today's Achievements
As you can see in the screenshots below, the interface now boasts a cleaner look that emphasizes readability without sacrificing the thematic elements that are so central to our game's experience. From the ethereal avatar of "Lalaky" to the inviting description of "A Cozy House at Mystshore Haven," each element has been crafted with care and intention.

You can see that the font choices are more refined, providing a clear and pleasant reading experience while still dripping with character. The layout is intuitive, and the buttons beckon with a subtle invitation to interact. It's a layout that not only serves the functionality but also the fantasy.

The Road Ahead
While the new design template is beginning to take shape, our quest is far from over. There are still many screens that will need to be designed and implemented. Then, the next critical phase is to merge this new design with the existing framework of the game. This integration will be a delicate dance of code and creativity, ensuring that the soul of the game is enhanced by its new visual vessel. And I must say, I’m eagerly looking forward to this next chapter. I’m confident that what we are building here today, in the last days of 2023, a game that will resonate deeply with those who will embark on their journey through our world for many years to come.
